3 small steps to creating the cosiest guest bedroom ever

It’s no secret that welcoming people into our homes comes with its bouts of nervousness. Because no matter who our over-night-stayers are, being a guest is about being cared for. We want them to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good night’s kip.

Like most things, preparation is key – and a little bit of Dip & Doze goes a long way. Today, we’re here to help you leave your guests longing for a few more nights in your cosy abode.

quality bedding

When it comes to making your guests feel pampered, quality bedding is an essential ingredient. Opt for the cosiest, softest, organic cotton or natural linen sheets to provide your guests with the that 5-star hotel-like sleeping experience.

We’ve found that stripe bedding always seems to please – there’s something about it that’s just instantly relaxing. Why not mix up the stripes with some plain pillowcases for a bit of balance? Perfection! Allow your guests to indulge in a playful yet soothing sleep oasis with our warm, mellow clay pink bedding. Or if you’re wanting a slightly cooler shade, choose the mood-soothing embrace of our nordic sky bedding. Wanting something a little lighter? Our soft, barely-there dusky pink bedding and balanced sage green bedding are wonderfully calming while offering quiet character.

Alternatively, if you’re craving that fresh, timeless feel, invite your guests to drift off into a cloud of comfort with our beautiful white bedding set. Or if you’re wanting to tone things down without going too light, our dove grey or almond are for you — warm and inviting with the perfect undertones!

warm lighting

To really create the serene atmosphere you’re aiming for in the guest bedroom, we recommend blackout curtains, ambient bedside lighting, or a reading lamp. This way, you automatically offer your guests a well-rounded experience that they can call their own.

inviting seating

If space allows, consider adding a couch or a comfy corner chair to add to the homely feel. Not only does this offer your guests a calming wind-down retreat, but it’s also a great way to tie the room together.

final touches

And finally, what makes a stay truly memorable? It’s the attention to detail in those final touches. Fresh flowers presented in a beautiful vase, a wastepaper bin, a mirror, spare hangers, a choice of pillows (some firm, some squishy!), a carafe of water, a hairdryer, and a cosy robe. Absolutely wonderful!

A delightful breakfast always goes down well, too! Be sure to have the essentials on standby (teas, coffees, milks, sugars, bread, butter, cereals) – they never go amiss! And how to really tantalise their taste buds to make sure you’re not leaving your guests with rumbling tummies? Consider fresh fruits or pastries – whatever it is you know your guests will love! After all, it’s these thoughtful gestures that make time spent with loved ones that little bit more special.

Remember, creating a cosy guest bedroom isn’t just about providing a place to sleep – it’s about ensuring they feel embraced by the love you put into their stay. And we just love offering you tips each step of the way!
