This year, we wanted to do Black Friday differently again and add some colour. We’re excited to welcome you to our 2024 green Friday! For every order placed between 15th November – 2nd December, we’re donating £5 to nature-based carbon avoidance projects by Ecologi. This way, we can give back to nature and to you. Here’s everything you need to know!

what is carbon avoidance?

Think of it like reducing the flow of water into a bathtub – carbon avoidance prevents additional greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO2, from entering the atmosphere by reducing sources of emissions.

the impact we can make

Our Green Friday Donations will help Ecologi carry out important nature-based carbon avoidance projects. What do the projects involve? They prevent precious natural habitats from being degraded, such as by protecting trees from deforestation, and restoring and protecting carbon-rich peatlands. Not only does this keep carbon locked away in plants and soils, but it also preserves the homes of threatened and endangered species.

Protecting these natural carbon sinks is key to slowing climate change – and by working with nature, these projects don’t rely on new or experimental technologies to prevent or remove emissions.

And that’s not all. Nature-based carbon avoidance projects also benefit livelihoods by providing sustainable sources of income for surrounding communities, and can even bring in better education and healthcare facilities.
