join us in celebrating fairtrade fortnight 2025

What if the food you eat, the bedding you sleep in and the towels you wrap up in every day could help change lives for the better? Behind every cup of tea, soft sheet and absorbent towel is a story—a farmer, a family, a community—and with Fairtrade, it’s one rooted in fairness, dignity, and opportunity.

Fairtrade is a powerful force for change, building fairer, more resilient supply chains that are fit for the future. Their vision is simple but transformative: a world where farmers and workers are treated fairly, paid fairly and have the power to shape their own futures.

Take small-scale cotton farmers, for example. Many struggle to make ends meet due to rising production costs, unpredictable market prices, and a global system that favours large-scale industrial producers. That’s where Fairtrade comes in. Since 2010, after meaningful consultation with cotton farmers about their needs and ambitions, Fairtrade has been working alongside them to create a more equitable system. There are now 64,764 hectares* of it under cultivation across the world. That’s more than 78,000 football pitches of positive change!

On top of the price farmers and workers receive for their produce or labour, they receive an extra sum of money, called the Fairtrade Premium. This goes into a communal fund for workers and farmers to use, as they see fit, to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.

Fairtrade also sets rigorous social, economic and environmental standards across the supply chain. That means protecting workers’ rights, supporting environmentally sustainable farming, and ensuring that factories comply with International Labour Organization standards.

celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight

This year, Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd September – 5th October, and we’re excited to celebrate another year of their life-changing work.

For over 30 years now, Fairtrade have achieved incredible impact, but this is just the beginning. By choosing Fairtrade products this Fairtrade Fortnight and beyond, whether it’s Fairtrade-certified cotton, flowers, fruit, chocolate, tea or coffee, every purchase helps farmers and workers build a better tomorrow.

Our Fairtrade Fortnight Contribution

To mark the occasion and help amplify awareness, we’re contributing 10% of every website sale to the Fairtrade Foundation (charity number 1043886) between 8th September and 5th October, helping them continue their vital work with producers to secure a fairer, more sustainable deal.

Together, we can keep the momentum going and help shape a future that works for everyone, empowering people and protecting the planet.
