celebrate world bee day with us!

Here at Dip & Doze, we believe in thoughtful action—and this May, we’re inviting you to join us in something very special…

Oh, bees, bees, bees—the tiny wonders of the world that’re essential to the harmony of our ecosystem. Yet, their numbers are declining. And with World Bee Day just around the corner (20th May), we’re showing our buzzing friends some much-needed support!

For every order placed on the Dip & Doze website between 12th–20th May, we’ll plant 1m² of wildflowers.

why support wildflowers?

Wildflowers are like nature’s picnic—full of nectar-rich blooms that keep bees buzzing with life. And when bees thrive, everything else follows.

Biodiversity in the UK brings so many benefits, from breath-taking landscapes and iconic wildlife, to fresh air and clean water. And let’s not forget how thriving natural habitats help soak up carbon, playing a big part in tackling climate change. Nature really does have our back!

Unfortunately though, 50% of the UK’s biodiversity has been lost so far, leaving the UK ranking in the bottom 10% of countries when it comes to biodiversity intactness. This puts profound pressure on native flower species’, and the insects and animals that rely on them to survive. Since the 1930’s we’ve lost a staggering 97% of the UK’s wildflower meadows. The main causes? According to the latest State of Nature report published by a group of 50 conservation organisations in 2019, they’re climate change, pollution, hydrological changes by humans, intensive agricultural management, invasive non-native species, urbanisation, pests and pathogens, and woodland management.

The good news is, we can help nature bounce back, together!

This kind of habitat restoration work is vital to keep soils healthy, too. Why? Because native wildflowers bring much-needed stability to soils, preventing soil degradation and erosion caused by the weather. The result? Healthy soils can support much more life, providing organisms with the nutrients and moisture they need to survive. In the long term, healthy soils are such an important carbon store, keeping it locked away for hundreds or even thousands of years!

sowing the seeds of change

So, we’re marking every order placed between 12th – 20th May a love letter to nature. It’s a small act with a big impact—creating vibrant patches of joy where bees can dine, dance, and do what bees do best.
